Our History
Paladin Academy opened its doors in the 1980s as a clinical tutoring program for students dealing with mild learning challenges. Originally known as the Developmental Resource Center, the program continued to grow into the elementary, middle and high school program so many students utilize today. Our school has always provided a non-sectarian learning environment for individuals suffering from specific academic challenges throughout the Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach communities. Since its inception, the Paladin program has utilized a multi-sensory instructional approach that seeks to help students grow and learn at all academic levels.
Calling the City of Hollywood home for almost 25 years, Paladin Academy relocated to western Broward County in the 2008. Our new facilities allowed us to continue to grow as a school, being closer to many of our families and allowing for the integration of many new initiatives at the school. The facility provided additional classrooms, upgraded technology and a nicer facility for our families to utilize.
In 2011, Paladin Academy relocated to a completely renovated 4 1/2 acre, 25,000 square foot, facility in the City of Pembroke Pines. This building includes a regulation soccer sports field, swimming pool, library, indoor multipurpose room/cafeteria, two computer labs, a science lab, age appropriate outdoor playground equipment and additional classrooms. At this new home, our school community continues to thrive with a group of dedicated teachers and administrators, involved parents and engaged students.
