Summer School

2013 SUMMER SCHOOL

Summer School Application Information:

Paladin Academy offers a purely academic half day summer school program each year for students in elementary, middle and high school. For over 30 years, our school has used multi-sensory strategies and specifically chosen support materials to teach, remediate and facilitate a student's individual learning needs.

Summer school features:

  • Fully accredited academic program
  • Individualized learning approach
  • Average student:teacher ratio of 6:1
  • For elementary, middle and high school class credit recovery.
  • Remediation sessions in core content areas also available.
  • All programs operate in a classroom environment, not online!

Most summer courses are transferable to area public and private schools for credit or attendance recovery purposes. Coordination with home school Guidance Department is necessary prior to enrollment!



High School Programs

High School students may complete a combined maximum of 1.50 credits of material during Summer School. Courses and available session times are subject to availability. Non-credit sessions for English & Mathematics Remediation are also available.

All students must maintain a 95% attendance rate in order to be eligible to receive credit.

Credit Recovery Classes

To enroll, students must have previously attempted and not passed the course during the school year.
Guidance Counselor approval required prior to the start of the class confirming previous attempt.
Courses will be scheduled in either Session A or Session B based on instructor availability.
Session 1:
Session 2: Session 3:
 Begins June 10th  Ends June 24th
 Begins July 8th
Ends June 28th
 Ends July 12th
 Ends July 26th

Morning: 8:00am - 12:00pm || Afternoon: 12:30pm - 4:30pm

  • Language Arts
    • English I, English II, English III, English IV
  • Mathematics
    • Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, College Pre-Algebra (Math Readiness)
  • Social Studies
    • Economics, U.S. Government, U.S. History, World History/Heritage
  • Electives
    • Writing Skills

Credit Advancement Classes

For summer advancement of courses not previously attempted. Course pre-requisites may apply.
Courses will be scheduled in either Session A or Session B based on instructor availability.

Session 1: Begins June 17th - Ends July 26th

  • Social Studies
    • Economics, U.S. Government, World Geography
  • Electives
    • Speech I, Writing Skills
Students seeking attendance recovery are required to enroll in a per-week remediation session. Contact the school office for details. Students must be enrolled in the entire session to receive class credit.

Elementary & Middle School Programs

Students must maintain a 95% attendance rate in order to be eligible to receive credit. Content recovery of 1/2 year per session per course.

Session 1:  Session 2:
 Begins June 17th; Ends July 12th
Begins July 1st; Ends July 26th

 Daily Session: 9:00am - 12:00pm
